Hi! I’m Mishel Elkayam, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blumenes. Welcome. :) We are so happy to have you here! 

As a means of (re)introducing ourselves, here is Blumenes in a nutshell, through some of our most frequently asked questions: 

First of all… “What is Blumenes?”

Blumenes is a woman-owned skincare and relief cream company dedicated to nurturing the mind, body, and soul through natural, plant-based solutions. It is our priority to use high-quality, organic ingredients that are effective, safe and gentle for all skin types.

At Blumenes, our team is small, and our methodology is simple: We care deeply. We care deeply about one another, about our craft, our ingredients, our premium formulas, our thoughtful design, and of course, above all, you! Our loyal customers.

More than just colleagues, our team works together hand-in-hand as a family. With the expertise of our amazing chemists, we are able to cherry pick and craft powerful formulas with nature’s most healing ingredients. The closeness of our team fosters our confidence that every step of our process: from the drawing board to polished product, is completed with precision and care. 

“Who is Mishel Elkayam?”

Mother, entrepreneur, artist, and designer: “Mishel is a ray of light.”

Born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel, Mishel moved to New York City when she was 16 to study art and design. 

“My passion for creating Blumenes was ignited through the years supporting my mother through illness-induced muscle and joint pain. Rooted in this frustration I felt watching my strong, fiery mother suffer from harsh treatments and painful side-effects, my desire to create a natural solution grew like wildfire. My mother peacefully passed on in 2018, and left with me endless wisdom, belief, and a mission to create change. Among my darkest times, bloomed Blumenes, a powerful, plant-based relief cream company that has brought light to, and helped soothe the discomfort of my family members, friends, and hundreds of wonderful customers. 

My experience in design and love for creativity plays a huge role in my vision for Blumenes. I frequently pull inspiration from architecture, interior design, fine art, and most of all, music when crafting my business.”

“Who is Ben Elkayam?”

University of Southern California Alumni, entrepreneur, and in-office comedian, Ben has been an incredible addition to our team! 

While technically our Chief Financial Officer, Ben wears many hats within our company to lead us passionately into a complete brand evolution. Within the next year, we are excited to announce that Blumenes will offer a full-range of natural skincare solutions for both your face and body!

“What is your favorite product?”

My favorite product has got to be our very first; the corner-stone of our company, our Full-Spectrum CBD Relief Cream. 

This product is the emblem of our original direction and mission for Blumenes. With 1,000 MG of pure, organic, Full-Spectrum CBD, this cream is powerful. Blended together with organic turmeric, coconut oil, manuka oil, aloe vera, dragon’s blood, and arnica, this formula brings down inflammation, relieving muscle soreness and tension, joint pain, and skin irritations, naturally. 

No icky side-effects, no unwanted chemicals and toxins; just simple, luxurious, relief. Exactly as we intended.

And my very favorite part? How it has helped all of you!

“Why CBD?”

The short answer? Because CBD is versatile, powerful, and in my opinion, a miracle plant. 

The long answer is that CBD (the non-psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant) interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system (ECS), which regulates various physiological processes such as pain, mood, appetite, and sleep. By influencing ECS receptors, CBD can help bring down inflammation, reduce pain, anxiety, and stress, improve sleep, and promote overall well-being.

What is the difference between CBD and Hemp? 

While both CBD and Hemp are derived from the cannabis plant, Hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds, whereas CBD oil comes from the flowers, leaves, and stalks. Hemp seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, making it a versatile addition to your wellness routine!

Why is your 1,000 MG bottle of CBD more expensive than your 10,000 MG bottle of Hemp?

You may be considering our two relief creams and wondering why our CBD bottle is more expensive than our Hemp bottle. 

Simply put, our Full-Spectrum CBD relief cream uses components of the entire cannabis plant, which makes it more potent than our Hemp relief cream. While Hemp is rich in nutrients, an incredible moisturizer, and has natural anti-inflammatory properties, it does not interact with your body's endocannabinoid system the way CBD will, thus the soothing effects will be more subtle! 

“Do you have any products that do not contain CBD?”

Absolutely! Our Ultra-Hydrating Hemp Relief Cream does not contain CBD, but rather 10,000 MG of Organic Hemp extract. Hemp is an amazing natural moisturizer and anti-inflammatory agent. We recommend using this cream to relieve dry or itchy skin, eczema, or other skin-irritations.
