Life Is Incredibly Precious

Hello You,

The following is a small portion of my life experience and why am I here.

Everyone has someone they look up to as a child.

For some, it was their favorite artist, an athlete, a writer, or any other celebrity.

For me it was my mom, Judith.

She was my mentor, and the person I would always have daily heart-to-heart conversations with.

My mom grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel.

She was an extraordinary woman. Intelligent, elegant, beautiful and funny with a very strong personality.

She had a lot of friends from different countries, different levels of society and different colors. In many ways—and very importantly—she was independent and during that time it was still uncommon (and challenging).

However, she never let society stop her and kept blazing her own path.

When I was about 4 years old, she opened her own neighborhood apothecary/beauty supply store. She took great care of her family, as well as her community.

Naturally, everyone adored my mom.

Many years later around 2010, my mom was diagnosed with Renal Insufficiency, meaning her kidneys weren't functioning at normal levels anymore, and would only get weaker from here on out.

Doctors couldn't do much besides offering a dialysis regimen, which she didn't agree to, so it was mostly her dietary plan that kept her alive for the next 8 years.

About 7 years later, in 2017 she became weaker and weaker. She was tired, her skin was itchy and her muscles were aching.

It was extremely difficult seeing my loved one suffering and to feel so helpless. It was the most difficult time of my life.

I count myself lucky that I was able to be with her through all that time.

My mom peacefully passed on in 2018.

That was one major transition for me in my life. I knew at that point that I wanted to do something to help others and for nobody else to suffer as my mom did.

Additionally, I also went through an experience with someone in my family who struggled with depression for many years.

It was a very difficult and painful journey that I learned a lot from. After talking, reading, and listening to many other people who also went through similar experiences, I found that so many of us around the world are struggling physically or emotionally.

And all I wanted was the ability to put a tiny smile of happiness upon those who are suffering.

But before all of that, I was always involved with art and design.

From taking classes as a young girl in drawing and painting, to graduating as an Art Major in High School to competing in art contests, after which I went on to attend the Parsons School of Design in New York and majored as a Graphic Designer.

Years later, I started doing Interior Design projects, as well, and as that progressed I was even featured on HGTV’s Designer’s Challenge!

To this day, I still love and enjoy doing Interior Design projects, when and if I get the chance.

As I went through life and its experiences, different kinds of relationships, children and their daily inspiration, professionalism at work, practicing creativity, venturing into spiritual moments, and the biggest change of losing a loved one,  my life shifted to different levels of priorities.

Two months after my mom passed away, I had my first meeting with my Co-Founders at Blumenes.

We all connected right away because we all had something in common,  something to accomplish, and it was about making others healthier and happier, and this is what we are here for today.

When I learned about the benefits of CBD, and what an amazing gift from Mother’s Nature it is, I knew that that was it!

I saw the chance for reaching out to other people with the combination of creating a whole new product that works and looks good.

And yes, even though you are no longer walking the Earth, Mom, you definitely inspired and guided me all along.

So, this is how Blumenes Organic CBD & Hemp was born from my side of the story.

 I am Mishel Fishman Elkayam and one of the Co-Founders of Blumenes.

 I know mom would be proud to see me today…

 She would be proud to know that I found a way to combine my creativity & passion for helping others by co-creating an organic solution.
