The Friday Takeover Wrapped: Anat
Anat’s Day in Ritual: Grounded by Nature
Last Friday, Anat invited us into a day shaped by presence, reflection, and a lifelong relationship with nature. A licensed clinical social worker, lifelong volunteer, and avid hiker, Anat has always turned to the outdoors as a place to process, reconnect, and restore.
From quiet mornings to winding trails across Los Angeles, her rituals aren’t rushed — they’re intentional. This is Anat’s Friday takeover, in full.

Morning: Slow, Steady, Intentional
Anat begins her mornings without urgency. She’s learned not to rush the day, allowing a few quiet moments to set the tone before anything else begins.
Coffee is first — enjoyed outdoors whenever possible — followed by simple grounding rituals that help her arrive fully in the present.
“Balance has always been essential to how I live. I’ve learned not to rush my mornings. A few quiet moments go a long way.”

Morning Skincare Ritual
Anat’s skincare routine is rooted in consistency and nourishment — nothing excessive, nothing overwhelming.
She begins with clean skin, applies eye cream first, and builds her routine slowly and intentionally.
Blumenès Essentials
-
Gold Drops — Reviving & Repairing Face Oil
Used daily to support hydration and calm the skin.
-
Eye Contact — Depuffing & Tightening Eye Crème
Applied first, every morning.
-
Surreal Silk — Lifting & Plumping Serum
Added on days she’s heading out and wants lightweight hydration.
To finish, she layers sunscreen over Gold Drops — especially on hiking days.
Sunscreen Staples
-
Amazon Basics Sheer Touch Sunscreen SPF 30 — $9
Used daily for layering after Gold Drops.

Nature as Reset
For Anat, time outdoors isn’t exercise alone — it’s reflection.
She hikes throughout Los Angeles and the surrounding valleys, choosing trails based on mood, energy, weather, and how many miles she feels ready to take on.
“Nature has always been my reset. Whether it’s a hike or just being outside, it gives me space to reflect.”
Old photos from years past — hiking across South America, crossing rope bridges, long treks through unfamiliar terrain — speak to a lifelong relationship with movement and exploration.

Fueling from the Inside Out
Anat believes wellness begins internally. When it comes to food, she avoids restrictive rules and focuses instead on nourishment.
“When it comes to diet, I don’t follow anything specific. I try to eat plenty of protein and healthy fats. Happy body and skin start from the inside.”
Some everyday staples include:
-
Ortiz Sardines in Olive Oil
A favorite source of healthy fats and protein.
She also prepares teas using different herbs and plants, choosing blends based on how her body feels that day.
Midday Care & Body Rituals
After hiking or time outdoors, Anat returns home to reset.
Following a shower, she reaches for simple, multi-use oils — products she’s trusted for years.
Body & Hair Care
-
NOW Solutions Apricot Oil — $10
Used as a full-body moisturizer.
-
NOW Solutions Almond Oil — $10
Used as a hair oil mask.
Sometimes she blends oils together or adds essential oils like rosemary, adjusting based on what her body needs.
Evening Wind-Down
As the day slows, Anat repeats her skincare ritual — this time adding Surreal Silk if she’s heading out.
Candles, familiar scents, and quiet moments help her transition out of movement and into rest.
Listening & Learning
Throughout the day, Anat often listens to audiobooks — especially those that explore the mind-body connection and how our beliefs shape our health.
One book that’s been especially impactful:
Breaking the Age Code by Becca Levy, PhD
A powerful exploration of how our perceptions of aging influence physical health, longevity, and overall well-being. The book challenges deeply ingrained cultural narratives around aging and highlights how mindset can play a meaningful role in how we experience each stage of life.
Listening while walking, resting, or moving through her day, Anat finds these ideas grounding — a reminder that wellness isn’t just physical, but deeply mental and emotional as well.
Anat’s Playlist
Music plays quietly in the background of Anat’s day — reflective, grounding, and familiar.

Closing the Day
Anat’s takeover reminds us that ritual doesn’t need to be complicated. It’s built through presence, repetition, and listening — to the body, the mind, and the world around us.
